Building girls self confidence and self esteem
FIYO is among the civil society organizations in Rwanda that has for the last 17 years has been and still empowering girls to build ttheir self confidence and esteem. Sensitization campaigns were organized in schools and Girl Clubs have been formed and empowered in over 50 secondary schools.
Under the Debate and Public Speaking, Culture of Reading Programs and Promoting STEM programs FIYO put more emphasis in Involving girls to participate in these programs hence bulding their self confidence.
Through Girl clubs in secondary FIYO provides the clubs with magazines, mentors, Role models to encourage girls to follow their dreams without thinking that boys have more advantage than them.
