Reinstating living allowances for government sponsored students
In partnership with different civil society organizations , from 2011 FIYO was on the frontline to advocate for reinstating living allowances for government sponsored students in higher learning institutions,
The success of the campaign was to have the living allowances reinstated to all university students in higher learning institutions on government scholarships regardless of their social economic classification commonly known as Ubudehe
Currently government students that are sponsored by the government are having same living allowances regardless of the social economic classification
